TIP OF THE TREE(SEASON 2 PREVIEW)

It's that time of the year again, Coach Champion has the players out of the film room and out on the field ready to embark on a new season. The Cardinal were 9-4 last season with some very poor performances in those games, granted they finished in the top 10...you couldn't help but feel they could have done better. Kevin Hogan returns along with his Pac12 leading td/int ratio 29/6. All his weapons on the outside return and Coach Champion has retooled the playbook to better utilize his skillset. Barry Sanders who had the most electrifying play of the season last year in a game winning punt return over Utah, looks to be more involved with the offense this season since the backfield was depleted by the departure of Taylor and Gaffney.

On the flipside of the ball you have a solid returning group who was one of the nastiest defenses in America.(minus the Oregon and Usc game) Ed Reynolds is the captain of the ship and the d will go as far as he leads them. Depth can be an issue for this year's Cardinal team...but one will have to wait and see how the leaf falls.
