2.1 Weekly recap

Boise, ID - Washington State starts the season off much like they did last year with a huge upset win over the #25 Bozo State Donkeys on the notorious field created by their color blind alumni. Coach Lax explains it best " It felt so good to come in here to riverside tech community college and beat there NFL football team! Oh... Wait your saying they aren't in the NFL? You never would have guessed that talking to their fans! I absolutely hate this place and this team, so giving the donkeys and the head donk classless peterson a big old whomping at home felt great! In Fact this is the Largest margin of victory any team has had in boise since they lost 2001 to the cougars 41-20! It feels good to be the only team to beat them at home by more than 10 points in a decade... TWICE!"

Needless to say Coach Lax who is a product of Boise Idaho's Timberline High School and Idaho Alum does not like the hometown team very much!

More on the game however, The defense looked like a whole different team out there! They came up with INT's instead of just dropping them. They Picked off Nick Patti 7 times and even Forced a fumble out of him to the tune of 8 takeaways! So not 2013 like of these defense.
They even housed two of the INT's.

True Freshman QB Carlton Preston out of Mainou, Hawaii got the nod to start over RsSenior Connor Halliday. Preston #10 went 17-24 2TD 1 INT with 264 yards also added a score and 39 yards on the ground. Halliday got in late and went 5-6 for 66 yards but it looks as Preston will be the full time starter as those are great debut numbers for a freshman on the road in Boise.   The run game is actually being used under Coach lax this year as HB Teondray Caldwell rushed for 109 yards and a TD! Much better performance for Wazzu on the ground.

Great game for Wazzu but the have Rutgers next week in Century link field in Seattle! Lets see if the sucess continues ass the aim for the top 25. Go Cougs
