Week 8 Post Game

Eugene, OR - In a game where both teams were just exchanging touchdowns it is noticeable where Wazzu messed up. Oregopn started with ball and drove down and punched it in. Conner Halliday played amazing... AFTER his interception on first pass. That interception led to a quick and easy 21 yard drive for Oregon to jump up 14-0 in  2 minutes. After that it was all back and forth as neither Defense could seem to get a hold on the offenses! With 6 seconds left in the 2nd, WSU knew not to give DAT the ball. So they punted high and short and towards sideline.... DAT grabbed it and took in all the way to other side of the field and turned on the burners. Wazzus punter was just standing in the endzone the whole time and didnt even try to come up and make a stop! this led to 14 pints wazzu allowed that they couldn't answer back.



WSU's defense did terrible as they came up with 1 turnover and 1 punt other than that Oregons offense flew. Wazzu did the best they could trying to answer back but when leading receiver RSo Baratone broke his collarbone and will be out for the season! WSU did the best they could but the D just couldnt come up with the stops they needed to let the O catchup. After throwing the kitchen sink out in final 2 minutes and tweaking offense Oregon stopped Wazzu and thats why score ended with 21 point deficit.

"I told our guys, hold your heads up high, this game was alot closer than it looked and we could have won it minus 2 mistakes! We went up against arguably the best the Pac 12 has to offer and we gave them a game. We are young guys, I like what i saw and in a few more games we will bea ble to retake the top, this year is for us to mature and make a bowl, championships ARE coming, we just are young and need a few more pieces, we did great with what we have. We don't have world class facilities or deep pocketed alumni BUT we have heart and eventually that will lead to us being the best! Full eyes, Clear full hearts, can't lose!"



Coach Lax stayed how he was proud of his offense and like always his QB play

Next week Wazzu will FInally get a rest as they get their first Bye week of the season with 5 wins & 3 loses! 1 more win and WSU in bowl eligble for first time since 2004. "9 years and we have to wait another week to see if we break that trend" - Conner Halliday. They got Arizona State at home in pullman, If the cougs win here its going to be a celebration in pullman! OC Coach Lax has played against ASU QB taylor Kelly in HS so he knows what to expect! " Oh ya TK, he's going down just like he did in the 100 open senior year of track  !" -OC Laxroxtopher. Sure you can, while Halliday has great yards and TDs he has turned the ball over a good bit. Apodaca!!!!!
