S2W2 - Oregon Turns Michigan State Around
ARLINGTON - In the second game of Coach Mark Helfrich's second campaign in Eugene, the Ducks turned in their most dominant performance to date as Oregon annihilated Michigan State in the first ever week two neutral site game. Marcus Mariota, De'Anthony Thomas, Keanon Lowe, as well as several other veteran Ducks all pitched in their best performances as Ducks, racking up over 500 yards of offense, scoring on nearly every possession, and pushing Michigan State further behind right from the get go.
Actually, Oregon led 42-0 in the first half, and MSU was somewhere around 8 total offensive yards to Oregon's 300+. This Oregon defense may just be the best defense to ever sport Oregon's multiple uniforms. Ifo-Ekpre Olomu, Terrence Mitchell, and Erick Dargan locked down the secondary, while Tony Washington and the Oregon defensive line found a way to constantly pester the MSU quarterback, amassing at least five sacks on the day.
Look out Pac-12, Oregon is better than ever.
