Whodini in a helmet aka Jurich the qb from SJSU did all types of amazing things week 1.If he wasn't slipping out of sacks he was throwing off his back foot while backpedaling and throwing across his body to the tune of 413 yards and 4 tds. Jabari Carr had over 100 yards and a td. Carr told Coach Champion early in the week that he was going to have a good game(Coach Champion and Jabari's twin brother Omari play in an adult league together.... TRUE STORY his brother is raw...google him) SJSU struck 1st, the 1st play of the game the turned a 5 yard out into a 52 yard gain....scoring a few plays later. The Cardinal answered back and tied it up 7-7 after 1. Erich Wilson who is the 2nd all time leading rusher at Serra HS in San Mateo (Tom Brady's hs) also had a stellar game he had 80 yards on the ground and his 2nd quarter td gave the Spartans a brief 14-7 lead. Then the most electric player in the nation Barry Sanders took a kr 96 yards to tie the game and give us the spark needed to pull away in the 2nd half. Kevin Hogan threw 3 2nd half tds and lead the Cardinal to a 1-0 record...we will dive into more stats later.

Stanford deliverd the knockout punch early in the game...and kept pounding until the clock hit zero. The over powered Pitt Panthers never stood a chance. Hogan had his 2nd quality game of this young season, but the unexpected star thus far has been Remound Wright, he has amassed 350 yards of total offense this season.
