Seattle, WA- Cyler Miles couldn't have started his first college football game any better. The Redshirt freshmen who recently won the starting job for the Huskies, had the #18 ranked Boise State Broncos with his first career start, and many doubted the freshmen's ability.

Deontae Cooper, the third string running back, surprised many and scored the first touchdown of the year for the Huskies with a 17 yard run. Boise's quarterback Joe Southwick answered on a short 3 yard run to answer back. From this point on, it was all Washington.

The Huskies got into the endzone two more times in the 2nd before Boise turned it over after failing to convert with a fake punt on fourth down. The Dawgs capitalized and scored on a short run from Jesse Callier before half.

Washington dominated in the second half as well, shutting Boise's offense down completely. They punched two more touchdowns in, making the final score 42-7.

Miles finished 15 for 18 with 189 yards and 2 touchdowns in his debut.

The Dawgs were able to spread the ball around very well with 5 different players getting into the endzone.

Washington gets to rest with a bye next week, while Boise gets a chance to rebound against a FCS team.
