You have got to be kidding me. This is so stupid......The only positive thing is that this dynasty could last for many many seasons

It can still work! They just need the twelve SEC teams to license and they will just have to come up with a knock off conference like call it the southern conference or some shit. They just cant use "the SEC"name and logos the teams can still sign separately.eyeofthehawkeye2 wrote:You have got to be kidding me. Im just afraid other conferences will follow the SEC and then schools will start backing out.
Re:
Doesn't the game advertise the ncaa and universities? That would give them money. Why would they want out of that?

2) Don't want to get sued for player likeness

Nah the only way the B1G drops is if Pac drops and only way Pac drops is if B1G drops, those two conferences are the country clubs of conferences they follow each others suit. The ACC may follow SEC but nobody else willChristhedawg wrote:Im just afraid other conferences will follow the SEC and then schools will start backing out.

With the SEC teams backed out and especially if the ACC follows I doubt EA would even attempt to make a game with all of those schools out of it. I for one would not buy a game that didnt have those schools in it as well as most of the south.

Operation Sports @operationsports
Big Ten Conference now out of College Football Games as well…. http://www.operationsports.com/news/651736/sec-big-ten-wont-license-trademarks-in-future-video-games/
Re: R.I.P. College football video games.
It's not schools, just the conference. the schools have the right to negotiate separately (make money). All this is saying is EA can't use SEC logo or refer to them in the game. SEC schools however can still be in the game their conference will just have a fake name. EA claims to have over 150 schools, bowls and conferences signed on for college football 15 already.Shady23 wrote:With the SEC teams backed out and especially if the ACC follows I doubt EA would even attempt to make a game with all of those schools out of it. But more conferences back out you'll see schools start to backout. Looks like I'll be holding onto my copy of NCAA 14 for a long time if I want legit schools and conferences.laxroxtopher wrote:It's not schools, just the conference. the schools have the right to negotiate separately (make money). In a statement to Joystiq, a CLC representative said "150 collegiate institutions, including SEC schools, have approved renewal of the EA college football license, to begin with the 2015 edition. As with any licensed product, individual schools continue to make their own decision

No more Pac-12 Dynasty name. @JFowlerCBS: Pac-12 not renewing current licensing agreement with EA Sports that allows use of conf marks, per spokesman Erik Hardenbergh
