Back Home Where The Buffalos Roam (Week 8)

Boulder, Colorado - The Colorado Buffaloes are well into their 2nd bye week of the season and they are sure to enjoy the time off.  Still, coach Dayne expressed his need for the players to take stock of the Pac 12 division and acknowledge the fact that they may have had a good first half of the season, but the last half will be the most challenging as they look to finish strong.  They Buffaloes are not the only team in their division having an outstanding season so far.  Five teams from the Pac 12 division are ranked in the top 10 of the nation including two teams the Buffs will face off against in the second half of the season, the #2 UCLA Bruins and the #9 Washington Huskies.  The Colorado Buffaloes may not have the talent that some of these big name schools can pull in from across the country, but you'll be hard-fought to find a team who has shown more heart.  The new coaching staff along with the players have turned this downtrodden school around and, in one season, have managed to achieve what many had assumed was unimaginable.  The Buffaloes are now ranked #7 in the nation, the first time being ranked since 2001.  With this great achievement comes a rather large target as many teams will be gunning for the Buffs and giving them their best shot.  The future for the Buffaloes is uncharted.......leaving it up to them on how the history books will be written, but isn't that most intriguing factor?
