Week 1 Post-Game

Auburn, AL - Today the Washington State Cougars under second year coach Mike Leach completed a colossal upset of the SEC member and 2010 National Champion Auburn Tiger in The Palace at Auburn Hills Jordan-Hare Stadium. This is the start to the season Coug fans were hoping for as beating a top tier SEC school bodes well for them as they open up conference play next week in LA against the always tough USC trojans! When asked about the win Leach had this to say, " We just went out there, did our thing and put more points on the board so we won." Leach a man of few words does rap it up pretty elementary there but he is right!



Luckily we caught up with Conner Halliday Wazzu's starting QB who finished 33 of 51 for 434 yards 4 Td's and 2 Int's. "We played great got out of the gates quick and controlled the crowd well. We prepared all week playing the sound of a Jet engine out of the speakers on one side of practice field and then Heavy Metal music on the other. We worked on hand signals and easy audibles all week to prepare to easily and effectively run our offense in that tough environment." When asked about his two interceptions he just stated when the game got close there at the end he was afraid he may have cost them the game. Luckily after a 5 yard touchdown toss by Halliday with 51 seconds left in the 4th to take the lead, The defense came up big with a game sealing INT by MLB D.Monroe the only Auburn turnover of the game (seen Below).


All in all a good game for Wazzu but they will look to improve as it doesn't get any easier next week! We are off to L.A to see if the Trojans can handle our high-powered Cougar offense after they just crushed Rival Hawaii49-13. Gooooo COUGS!

Haha, QB play has been off since Cam left for the league, just hoping that turns around this yr but RBs we're always good with. Auburn is the RBU but Bama trying to take that away.

IF you talking South Carolina, it aint even close. Auburn has had better RBs throughout their football existence.

The Detroit Pistons play at the palace of Auburn Hills   I actually wrestled there in high school, hahahaha
