Season 2: Week 2 Recap: OSU @ Hawaii

Corvallis, OR- The 2014 season is finally underway. Last week, the Beavers had a BYE week, and this week they would face the Hawaii Warriors. The Beavers struggled against them last year and this year they were looking forward to take care of business. They did. The new Air Raid offense performed well as Sean Mannion threw for 475 yards and 3 TDs. HB Terron Ward got the start today and did not disappoint either, rushing for 2 TDs. The Beavers new air attack managed to find the hands of 10 different receivers. Brandin Cooks and Richard Mullaney led the way with over 100 yards of receiving. The Beavers defense struggled in the first half, but managed a pick 6. They shut the Warriors down in the second half and cruised to a 60-38 victory and will move to 1-0.

Coach Eyeofthehawkeye got a great start to the 2014 season with this comfortable win over the Warriors. "We played great today, but the real challenges start next week as we open up Pac-12 conference play against California. We must continue to get better", he said after the game.

The Beavers are off to a solid start with their new offense and will continue to air it out. They will travel to Berkeley next week to face the California Golden Bears. This is a must-win game for the Beavers.
